    Senior Sales Consultant Opportunity

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Consultant to identify and map Targeted Accounts and drive New Business Development through the implementation of Target Account Plans.

    The ideal candidate will maximize business by up-selling and cross-selling all products offered within steel categories, ensuring a solid 6-8 week visit cycle with new and existing customers.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Sales Performance Maximization
      • Position value propositions based on customer and consumer needs
      • Gain commitment through constructive selling and negotiation
      • Use performance dashboards to identify execution focus areas
      • Deliver product availability and revenue targets
      • Increase sales to existing accounts
      • Sell new products into new verticals
      • Grow the existing customer base by opening new accounts
    • Customer Relationship Management
      • Effective customer onboarding
      • Build and sustain mutually beneficial relationships
      • Engage with key decision makers, merchant staff, consumers, and shoppers
      • Use market insights to influence customer behavior
    • Territory Planning
      • Manage the territory and identify opportunities
      • Joint business planning and annual planning
      • Sales planning; track and evaluate results
      • Understand insights from multiple data sources
      • Make market data and information-based decisions
    • Business and Sales Strategy
      • New business development
      • Understand the business strategy and value chain
      • Understand and interpret financial information
      • Use commercial drivers to deliver winning solutions
      • Manage expenditure against the budget and forecast

    Desired Experience and Qualifications

    • Post-matric qualification or graduate from an accredited college
    • 5-10 years of sales experience in the steel industry is desired
    • 10 years of external sales experience is non-negotiable
    • Ability to meet financial targets and goals
    • Strong understanding and utilization of all Microsoft packages
    • Proven ability to meet targets and call on new customers and business verticals
    • Proven ability to canvass new markets and areas
    • Own vehicle required
    • Ability to travel and grow areas
