    Business Systems Analyst – Industry Specialist

    This is a hybrid work model position, requiring 2 days in office. We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to convert business initiatives into world-class IT solutions.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in systems analysis and the Payments and Forex industry domain. Key responsibilities include:

    • Analyzing complex problems, planning solutions, and coordinating development to meet business needs.
    • Interacting with product owners, business analysts, solution strategists, QA teams, vendors, project managers, sponsors, product managers, and stakeholders.

    The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma and/or CBAP certification, with 7-10 years of relevant experience and 4-5 years in the Payments and Forex industry domain.

    Requirements

    In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions and produce functional specifications.

    • Strong working knowledge of Use Cases and UML.
    • Exposure to system or applications being developed is an added advantage.
    • Familiarity with traditional and emerging cross-border payment rails, like Swift.
    • Understanding of ISO20022 payments message standards and equivalent Swift MT messages.
    • Knowledge of SAMOS and local market infrastructure RTGS payments.

    The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing and designing new systems, major enhancements to existing systems, and general maintenance of systems.

    • Leading requirements gathering sessions across business and technological domains.
    • Participating in system design sessions to arrive at optimal solutions.
    • Designing integration files or messages with Systems Architect or Developer.
    • Writing SQL queries for analysis purposes and assisting in database structure design.
    • Examining process flows and recommending solutions for improvement.
    • Modeling system designs to meet business objectives.
    • Assisting problem analysis and resolution.
    • Actively participating in daily stand-up meetings.

    The successful candidate will be expected to drive business profitability through cost management and ensure high-quality deliverables that meet customer expectations.
