    Job Description

    Direct Travel Specialist - Inbound Destination Management

    This role is based in Sandton and involves handling inbound bookings to Southern Africa for Direct Clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Calm and professional interaction with suppliers and travel planners via telephone and email.
    • Designing of itineraries, requiring creative and out-of-the-box planning skills.
    • Handling reservation requests via email or telephone.
    • Processing reservations from quote to finalization, including invoicing and travel documents.
    • Servicing dynamic direct guests professionally.
    • Proactive selling of products and services to ensure the best possible safari experience for clients.
    • Backup support for colleagues during their absence.
    • Attending training sessions to expand product knowledge.

    Requirements

    • At least 5 years of reservation experience in an inbound tour operating environment.
    • Good knowledge of destinations such as Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda, Seychelles.
    • Knowledge of FIT and Groups policies and procedures.
    • Excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language.
    • Experience with Tourplan reservations system is an added advantage.

    Work Schedule

    Shift work required, with varying working hours including Saturday duty, cell phone duty on rotation basis, Public holiday duty and cell phone duty on rotation basis.

    Rotating shifts: 07:00 – 15:30 & 09:30 – 18:00.
