    Higher Education Lecturer Position at The International Hotel School

    We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Higher Education Lecturer to join our academic team at The International Hotel School Westville Campus, specialising in Hospitality Management and Professional Cookery and Kitchen Management.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, sharing their passion for the hospitality industry with eager young students, and conducting assessments in accordance with the curriculum.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Deliver high-quality lectures that inspire and educate students
    2. Conduct assessments and provide feedback to students
    3. Support students' academic and personal development

    Requirements

    Essential Qualifications & Experience:

    1. NQF Level 8 hospitality related qualification is essential; a Master's degree is preferable
    2. Professional Cookery qualification and experience are highly valued
    3. A minimum of 5 years of relevant practical industry experience is required
    4. A minimum of 2 years of lecturing/teaching experience is necessary
    5. Proficiency in MS Office software is required
    6. Ability to apply different teaching methodologies and EdTech is essential
    7. Understanding of Curriculum review and assessment development principles is necessary
    8. Experience in student 'at risk' interventions is valuable
    9. Demonstrated history of high student throughput and pass rate is expected
    10. Strong administrative skills and attention to detail are required
