Finance Assistant - Pretoria - R20 000pm

3 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Purpose:


Short-term contract to assist with the preparation of the monthly accrual accounts within the accounts payable function and clear up a backlog of the same account.

The ideal person will be expected to perform the following job functions.


Required outputs.

  • Match supplier invoices to the Goods Received Voucher (GRV) and Purchase Order
  • Identify differences between Suppliers invoices and the GRV
  • Investigate the differences between supplier invoices and GRVs to determine the reasons for the differences.
  • Prepare journal entries to close GRV's that are supposed to be closed and removed from accruals schedule.
  • Ensure that the final expense amount in the general ledger is correctly disclosed based on the supplier invoice and not the GRV.
  • Prepare accruals monthly reconciliations.
  • Assist with any other ad hoc functions in the Finance division as required during the period of the contract.

Job Requirements

  • B com accounting
  • 3 years' experience in Accounts payable and Accrual accounting
  • Microsoft excel
  • Experience with Accounting software Sage intacct or Sage Pastel evolution
