Finance Assistant - Pretoria - R20 000pm
3 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT
Purpose:
Short-term contract to assist with the preparation of the monthly accrual accounts within the accounts payable function and clear up a backlog of the same account.
Required outputs.
- Match supplier invoices to the Goods Received Voucher (GRV) and Purchase Order
- Identify differences between Suppliers invoices and the GRV
- Investigate the differences between supplier invoices and GRVs to determine the reasons for the differences.
- Prepare journal entries to close GRV's that are supposed to be closed and removed from accruals schedule.
- Ensure that the final expense amount in the general ledger is correctly disclosed based on the supplier invoice and not the GRV.
- Prepare accruals monthly reconciliations.
- Assist with any other ad hoc functions in the Finance division as required during the period of the contract.
Job Requirements
- B com accounting
- 3 years' experience in Accounts payable and Accrual accounting
- Microsoft excel
- Experience with Accounting software Sage intacct or Sage Pastel evolution
