Systems Administrator - Kloof, Durban - Office based

Requirements:


  • Matric
  • Diploma in Information Technology
  • 3 to 6 Years experience
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems.
  • Familiarity With Hardware and Software
  • Knowledge of Coding and Networking advantageous
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Problem-Solving and Administration Skills
  • Networking

Responsibilities:


  • Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
  • Participate in technical research and development to continually improve software systems and related procedures and adhere to organizational values.
  • Assist project teams with technical issues.
  • Work in a team and perform any other tasks that are necessary for the conduct of the employer's business as the employer from time to time may direct.

Accountable for the following systems:


  • Windows systems
  • Microsoft Office products (Office 365, SharePoint, CRM)
  • Domain hosting and management
  • Dell sonicWALL Firewall
  • Internet connectivity (ADSL and Fibre)
  • Access control
  • Cloud hosted services
  • Virtual servers both local and hosted
  • Repository hosting and management
  • Telephone and communication systems

Operations and Support:


  • Perform both physical and technical security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate cloud backup service providers.
  • Create, change and delete user accounts per request
  • Provide support to Directors, staff and clients
  • Procurement of company equipment and software license renewal
  • Contribute to the creation of the employer's intellectual property

Maintenance:


  • Maintain operational, configuration or other procedures
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization as required.
  • Conduct Quarterly maintenance of inverter and battery solution
  • Taking the company car to be serviced
  • Company car maintenance on a weekly basis for items such as tyres, wipers and scratches or dents and arranging the car to be washed

Salary:
From R20,000.00 per month
