    Teach English to Adults with The Faculty

    We are seeking a part-time ESL tutor to join our team of experienced instructors.

    Job Overview

    • The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate, and excellent communication skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver engaging English lessons based on a topic-orientated methodology to adult students.
    • Foster a supportive learning environment, encouraging students to improve their self-confidence and English-speaking skills.
    • Manage classroom activities and provide constructive feedback to students on their language proficiency.

    Requirements

    • A matric/high school diploma is required.
    • A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate is mandatory.
    • Excellent English language skills (accent neutral) and computer literacy are essential.
    • Comfortable using Zoom as a teaching platform and having basic technical skills.

    Working Conditions

    • Schedule classes in advance within your chosen availability.
    • Potential opportunities to pick up additional classes outside of your regular shift.
    • All lesson materials are provided.
    • All students are adults, ensuring a unique and rewarding teaching experience.

    Availability

    • Please select one or more availability slots from Monday to Friday: 19:00 - 03:00, 03:00 - 11:00, 11:00 - 19:00.
    • Select one or more availability slots from Saturday and Sunday: 19:00 - 03:00, 03:00 - 11:00, 11:00 - 19:00.

    Technical Requirements

    • Intel Core i5 CPU @2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or greater processor.
    • 8GB RAM or greater memory.
    • Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of at least 4 hours.
    • A separate power supply system to power your fiber router independently.
    • A stable FIBRE internet connection with minimum upload/download speeds of 25 mbps.

    Educational Background

    • A matric/high school diploma is the minimum educational requirement.

    Salary

    The estimated salary for this position is between $12-$18 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
