Fitting Quality Inspector Fixed Term Contract (One Year) X3
Purpose of the Job
The Quality Inspector manages in his/her scope of work, the actions to ensure the conformity of the product and to help the continuous improvement on quality processes.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- In process Inspection during manufacturing of a trains.
- Preparation of reports for Inspections performed.
- Coordination and management of Repair or Modification projects at various car repair locations.
- Auditing and approval of repair.
- Working with engineering drawings for car modifications and New Car builds.
- Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
- Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
- Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and wellmaintained and discard any that doesn't meet requirements
- Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager
- Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
- Alert operators using the quality visions on the defect that were detected during inspection
Minimum Requirements:
- N6 or National Diploma in Quality or Engineering
- Technical knowledge with 3 years' experience preferably in the railway industry, in quality, ideally in an international organization.
- Quality assurance, quality management, Product inspection, manufacturing management, or a related field
