Description
Our client, a well-established packaging company, is seeking to employ a Commercial Intern to join their team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following outputs:

Internal processes

  • Assisting with establishing financial goals and objectives
  • Assisting in establishing the Annual Operating Budget
  • Keeping stock to a minimum and ensuring stockouts
  • Ensuring that price tables are up to date
  • Monitoring price movement and compiling reports
  • Maintain record and understanding of raw material pricing
  • Ensure all price increases are issued timeously
  • Checking orders for local material and packaging and ensuring correct pricing
  • Overseeing the monthly management accounts and yearend audit

Finance

  • Assisting with forecasting models as per budget
  • Analysing income statements for anomalies
  • Preparation of monthly reports needed for publication of an income statement

Commercial

  • Preparation of tenders
  • Preparing and analysing reports
  • Work closely with the internal ERP (SAP) team
  • Maintenance of master data

Sales

  • Administration of key clients
