You will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing WordPress with a focus on creating and optimising learning management systems (LMS) using platforms to create training programmes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WordPress development, website design, and e-learning solutions, with a passion for creating engaging and user-friendly online learning experiences.

This job spec outlines the main responsibilities and required skills for someone who would handle both WordPress development and LMS. Depending on the nature of the company or the project, you can adjust the focus on the technical side (development) or the user experience side (design and content management).

Key Responsibilities:

• WordPress Website Design & Development:
• Build and customize WordPress websites to meet business needs and client specifications.
• Design and implement user-friendly and visually appealing front-end designs.
• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Ensure websites are fully responsive and mobile-friendly.
• LearnDash/LMS Integration:
• Set up and configure LMS plugins within WordPress.
• Design and develop online courses, quizzes, assignments, and certifications using LearnDash.
• Customize and extend LMS functionality, including course structure, payment gateways, and user roles.
• Integrate third-party tools (e.g., membership systems, payment gateways, content protection).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LMS functionalities.
• E-Learning Content Management:
• Create and manage engaging e-learning content, ensuring it aligns with instructional goals.
• Implement multimedia elements (videos, quizzes, and interactive content) to enhance learning experiences.
• Ensure a smooth, intuitive user experience for students and instructors within the LMS environment.
• Ongoing Support & Optimisation:
• Perform regular updates to WordPress, themes, plugins, and LearnDash to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Provide technical support for end users, including troubleshooting issues related to course access, user profiles, and LMS functionality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and implement enhancements to both the website and LMS platform.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with WordPress (themes, plugins, customization).
• Experience with learning management systems.
• Experience with video creating and audio editing.
• Experience with responsive design and ensuring compatibility across devices and browsers.
• Experience integrating third-party plugins and tools within WordPress.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
