Description

The main purpose of the position is to manage the short-term sales team and administration function and determine the number of policies that should be sold during a certain period and oversee the sales team's progress in meeting goals.

It also includes the provision of strategies for increasing sales, feedback, and developing marketing campaigns.

Key Role and Responsibilities

Architecting a sales strategy and building our team of Short-Term Sales Agents.
Setting and monitoring sales objectives.
Providing sales strategies, feedback, and marketing plans.
Contributing to meeting sales targets.
Answering customer queries.
Mediating disputes with customers.
Designing and implementing effective marketing strategies to sell new insurance contracts or adjust existing ones.
Contacting potential clients and creating rapport by networking, cold calling, using referrals etc.

Keeping abreast with changes in the insurance industry and regulators.

Qualifications:

Matric/Grade 12

FAIS Compliant as prescribed by the Financial Services Board

Relevant NQF 5 as prescribed by the Financial Services Board

Regulatory Exam as prescribed by the Financial Services Board

Intermediate Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

7 years of relevant sales experience in the short-term insurance industry including management of insurance sales department and a track record of exceeding quota

Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them
