The primary responsibility for this sales representative position is to generate new sales for a microbrewery based in the Winelands.
You will be responsible for supporting customers on technical matters and promoting the brewery's products in the marketplace.It will be beneficial to have an understanding of beer and the brewing industry. Product knowledge is second-to-none and you can spend hours talking about our beer and the products that we make.
You will be asked to use a consultative sales approach, acting as a liaison between the brewery, distributors and retail customers.
You will take orders from customers then ensure there are no technical issues which prevent those orders from being fulfilled.
You will be the customer's primary point of contact, so having an existing client base will also be beneficial.
You will be tasked to spend time promoting the brewery's products and informing customers of seasonal changes to product lines.
Responsibilities:
- Generate new business for the brewery
They will deal with distributors and retailers on a daily basis, using their expertise to promote the brewery's products and drive sales.
- Manage a list of key accounts and forecast growth
An important job of the sales representative is to estimate the level of production that is required to meet demand.
- Grow relationships with distributors and retailers
- Perform product demonstrations
- Give sales presentations
The sales representative must convey the information they know about the market, sales figures and other technical matters to the management of the brewery and/or customers.
- Collaborate with other staff within the brewery to achieve company goals
To achieve the brewery's objectives, the sales representative may have to work with the Head brewer, marketing staff and other personnel around the brewery.
- Research and engage strategic accounts
Work Experience
- Proven Sales and marketing experience.
- Experience providing customer support.
- Strong knowledge of the beer industry, beers and beer making (Ideal but not mandatory)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Sales prospecting skills
- Customer support skills
- Computer skills and time management skills
- A passion for beer and the beer industry
- Enthusiasm about brewing and the ability to motivate or excite customers about beer
- Selfmotivated
- Analytical, with a high level of attention to detail
- The ability to work in highly pressured and fast paced environments

Salary:
R14, R30,000.00 per month
Experience:
- Sales: 3 years (preferred)
