In my current role as a Credit Analyst, I performed several functions. Namely;

Determination of a client’s creditworthiness through analytics:

• Performed robust financial and non-financial analysis on the client on a credit basis.
• Assisted in the compilation of comprehensive credit applications for SMEs.
• Exposed to deal structuring and credit underwriting.
• Generated country and sector market reports.
• Conducted extensive research on commodity markets.
• Collaborated with credit committee members to approve or deny applications.

Risk Management:

• Routinely monitored underlying loans for compliance for a $15M Structured Trade Finance portfolio.
• Ensure covenants and conditions are met on a weekly basis.
• Maintain a detailed due diligence list on the client's portfolio, detailing what facilities they have to ensure early pick-up of change in the client’s business or operating environment.
• Presented regular reports to the credit committee and delivered investment portfolio updates.
• Ensure that the company's credit policies and philosophy are fully complied with at all times.
• Developed and managed credit models. 

Obtained a BCom in Management Studies from the University of Cape Town in 2021.

Modules included: Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting I Finance II, Financial Management, Advanced Macro & Micro Economics, International Trade & Finance, Public Sector Economics, Quantitative Methods in Economics, Mathematics I, Statistical Theory & Inference, and Applied Statistics.
