Execution Lead & QS

Shell & BP Refineries (SAPREF), Durban

 

  • Develop and deliver an approach for coaching and mentoring.
  • Assisting Finance with budgets, monthly accruals, audit requisites, payment queries
  • Perform uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analyses of risks and challenges
  • Drawing up bills of quantities
  • Interact with relevant service providers and other bodies where required.
  • Assisting the Logistics Stream post April floods in cost control, by managing budget, creating estimates, raising all requisitions and receipting of all Logistics PO’s for payment
  • Preparation of Maintenance, Outage and Tankage estimates for cost analysis
  • Preparation of all Service Provider final accounts, and assisting with queries
  • Verification and review of all work performed by Service Providers for all related activities i.e. (Mechanical/Civil/Scaffolding/Insulation/ Coating/Hydrojetting/Rentals of equipment/Catering etc.)
  • Providing assurance on valuations of services performed by contractors for all activities in this phase
  • Managing and facilitating contract variations with service providers, i.e. modifying of requisitions 
  • Validation of all Work Progress Certificates confirming value of work done by contractors
  • Verification of quantities on all work done by contractors, i.e. dayworks and unit rated works, currently responsible for all Maintenance and Small Projects P&G’s and seconded labour (GLTA-15 to 20 claims/TMS- Maintenance and Tankage P&G’s/scaffold rental and other)
  • Presenting and obtaining approval for Preliminary & General costs for Core Service providers
  • Assisting with resource management
  • Liaise and build relationships with external training providers and industry related bodies to maintain relationships and to identify industry priorities and opportunities
  • Incorporate complexity factors into cost estimates, i.e. escalation and assemble key input data such as objectives, scope and economic assumptions
  • Assisting Contract Holders with evaluations of current SIP Service provider
  • Raising of requisitions for various maintenance departments, finalizing and overseeing receipting of these 
  • Assisting C&P with escalation checks
  • Secondment to Turn Arounds to assist with verification of claims
  • Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all staff members-BBS Observer (Behavioural Based Safety)
  • Maintaining communication with all departments and other stakeholders on their needs and resolve and respond to their queries.
  • Attendance of meetings and project manage relevant projects.
