About Yoliswa Lumka:
SUMMARY
Yoliswa Lumka obtained her Sport Science Honours from the University of Pretoria and proceeded to her master’s at the same institution, focusing on developing an injury management system for Elite Junior Football Players. She has been a Basketball coach for the last 9 years as well as a team manager for the wheelchair Basketball Women’s National Teams. In 2011, Yoliswa took up the role of Director: High Performance at Wheelchair Basketball South Africa and fulfilled this role until 2016. Yoliswa has worked with several PSL and First Division Teams looking after the player’s health interests. During 2008 and 2015, Yoliswa was involved in the country’s High Performance system through her work at Sport and Recreation South Africa (SRSA) in the Scientific Support Services Directorate, in her capacity as Head of Sport Performance at Stellenbosch University Sport Performance Institute (SUSPI) and as Manager: Academy systems and Team Preparation at the South African Sport Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC). She currently sits on the (University Sport South Africa) USSA (National Executive Comittee (NEC) and the (South African Sport Confederation and Olympic Committee) SASCOC High Performance Commissions.
