Yas De Klerk

Hi There :) 

My name is Yaseen and I come from Johannesburg, South Africa. I am a 31-year old PGCE qualified English teacher with 7 years of experience, 3 of those years being the grade 6 (11-12 year olds) English teacher at the school I am currently employed at. I have experience coaching individuals in English from all over the world and from many different walks of life. I have helped a 6-year old learn the language as well as a neurosurgeon looking to improve his language for different journals he needed to read.

I can describe my teaching style as very dynamic as I always place the students needs first. I adapt well to all situations and always focus on the goal at hand. I have assisted individuals who were just looking to learn the language in a conversational sense as well as others who are studying for various exams (CELTA or TEFL). I am a creative teacher who has achieved a minimum pass statistic of 96% for a total of 162 students  in the school I am currently employed at and I am confident that I am able to achieve similar results for your institution.

I am tech savvy and I really have a passion for education, I build strong relationships with learners and parents alike and I believe that every learner has the potential and capabilities to become a fluent English speaker.

•  Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa) as a double major in International Relations and English Literature.
• 120-Hour TEFL Certificate from the International TEFL Organisation. (Johannesburg, South Africa Branch) 
• Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) majoring in English Teaching and Life Orientation Teaching from STADIO. (Johannesburg, South Africa)
