William Nkiwe Ramarumo

Mr. Ramarumo. William Nkiwe Ramarumo is an experienced mining professional based in Pretoria, South Africa, with over 10 years of experience in underground trackless mining and shaft sinking. He has held various roles at Murray & Roberts Cementation, including Miner/Sinker, shaftman 1, shaft nipper, and general worker. In his most recent position as Miner (March 2024 – January 2025), he was responsible for safety compliance, crew coordination, risk assessments, and blasting operations.

Mr. Ramarumo has pursued extensive education in mining and safety management. He holds a diploma in safety management, and He is currently pursuing a diploma in mining engineering at the University of South Africa (part-time) and a mine overseer certificate of competency from the Department of Minerals and Energy. He is now taking a blasting engineering course at the University of Pretoria (Part time). 

His certifications include a Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines (issued by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy in April 2024), Competent Person A and B, Blasting Assistant, Onsetter, and various safety and supervisory qualifications. Mr. Ramarumo is recognized for his strong work ethic, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to safety in challenging mining environments.
