About Wendy Nkomana:
I am a versatile and driven graduate with a strong background in medical biosciences, clinical microbiology, and nanoscience. I hold a BSc in Medical Biosciences with focus on anatomy, physiology and medical microbiology thus gaining strong understanding of human health and disease mechanisms along with essential skills in scientific analysis, laboratory techniques, and data presentation. I also hold an Honours degree in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases from the University of Witwatersrand where I expanded my expertise in infectious diseases and applied advanced laboratory techniques to address antimicrobial resistance. Currently, I am completing my MSc in Nanoscience (Nanobiomedicine/Nanobiotechnology), with research focused on the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles and their anticancer potential in vitro. My academic journey has equipped me with strong analytical, laboratory, and research skills, while my professional experience in education assistance, customer service, and administration has strengthened my communication, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities. I am passionate about contributing to meaningful work—whether in science, education, or support services—and bring a collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to continuous growth in every role I take on.
