Good day

My name is Willie Nieuwoudt. I have been a final mixer since 2005. I mixed for Rhythm City from inception (2008) till when the show wrapped up. Before that I worked for etv on Scandal, Eshibobo and a few Documentaries, Including a very beautiful Tribute to Lebo Matosa.

Documentaries are fun and easy to work on, but drama is my true love. I have a wonderful understanding of how to use music in a dramatic context. I would dare say I am one of the best in the business. Other than that I have loads of experience in technical aspects such as noise reduction, eq of dialogue tracks and sound design.

From 2008 to June 2021 I was employed by Quizzical Pictures. I was hired specifically to mix the Drama series Rhythm City, of which I completed 3660 episodes

From 2005 to 2008 I worked for etv. I was the sole mixer for the drama series Scandal, but also worked on news programs, documentaries and sports programs

In 2005 I completed the Master Recording Program II at the Conservatory of Recording Sciences in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The program is world renowned, and draws students from across the world.

I have completed proficiency training in Apple's Logic Pro. I am also proficient in Ableton Live and Pro Tools. In my professional capacity, I have worked almost exclusively with Pro Tools since the start of my career in Audio. I know the Pro Tools Application very well and work extremely fast.
