I have lived a life marked by resilience and determination. I am now embarking on a new phase of my life, both personally and professionally. I hail from a vibrant Indian background, and my life's journey has been filled with experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. I am the proud mother of two wonderful teenage boys, and I am grateful for the joys and challenges that parenthood has brought into my life. My academic journey led me to the field of Cost and Management Accounting, where I honed my skills and knowledge. As a dedicated professional, I am a member of the esteemed SAIPA institute, showcasing my commitment to excellence in my field. Over the past five years, my life has been a whirlwind of change, from a separation five years ago to a divorce two years ago. Amidst these personal challenges, I have managed to excel in my career, achieving a well-deserved promotion to Band 5. With a newfound sense of purpose, I am now on a quest to explore new horizons in my career. My decision to seek greener pastures is a testament to my ambition, work ethic, and commitment to personal growth. I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and am determined to make the most of them. In the face of life's challenges, I have emerged as a resilient individual with a passion for personal and professional growth. With my background in accounting, my membership in SAIPA, and my unwavering commitment to excellence, I am ready to embrace the opportunities that come my way and continue to thrive in my journey of self-discovery and success. I embarked on my working career as a General Office Clerk with National Stevedoring in Kwazulu Natal, where I gained valuable insights into administrative operations. This early experience laid the foundation for my future endeavours. My journey led me to Venture Computers(Lexmark), where I initially served as a Creditors Clerk. Over time, I transitioned to the role of Assistant Accountant, demonstrating my adaptability and dedication to financial excellence. During my tenure at Venture Computers, I played a crucial role in setting up the BAAN system and navigating the complexities of the Y2K change, showcasing my capacity to embrace and drive technological advancements.My career continued to evolve as I embarked on a contract with DNS Networking. Here, I took on the responsibility of setting up their accounting systems, demonstrating my ability to streamline financial processes and contribute to organizational efficiency.Throughout my professional journey, I've consistently sought opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. My experiences have not only shaped me into a versatile and adaptable professional but have also equipped me with a deep understanding of financial systems and processes.My career has been a dynamic and enriching journey, marked by diverse roles and a steadfast commitment to excellence. From my early days as a General Office Clerk to my pivotal roles in finance and systems implementation, I've demonstrated a willingness to learn, adapt, and innovate. I am excited to continue this journey, embrace new opportunities, and contribute my expertise to future endeavours. My responsibilities are not confined to national borders. I serve as a critical link between Mitsubishi Corporation Johannesburg Branch and our headquarters in Tokyo, where I report on all matters related to accounting and finance. This global perspective has broadened my horizons and enriched my professional experience. Internal Audits JSOX in our African offices. My role extends to overseeing and authorizing the company's bank accounts, a testament to the trust and confidence placed in my financial acumen. I also manage the application and reconciliation of corporate cards, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial transactions. My journey within the Mitsubishi Corporation has been marked by resilience, growth, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. With an extensive background in finance, an unwavering commitment to innovation, and the trust of my organization, I stand ready to embrace new challenges and continue contributing to the success of Mitsubishi Corporation.
