Vanessa Ally

I am an accomplished teacher with a great insight into teaching and learning. I have taught ks1 and ks2 in EIS in Dubai. I have also been a coordinator for year 4 for 6 years. I am familiar with different teaching styles as I have taught using different curriculums. I am flexible and always open to change and make sure that deadlines are met timeously. It is important that children are actively involved in the teaching and learning process therefore lessons must be interactive. Children also learn in different ways so that must also be taken into account when planning lessons so that each child understands the concepts that are being taught. It is also important that behavior management is carried out in class so that effective teaching and learning takes place. A happy child makes teaching and learning more effective.

I have 15 years of teaching experience in Dubai. I have taught at Emirates International School, in Jumeirah where I was a coordinator for year 4 for a period of 6 years. I have taught year 4 and 5 at EIS. Previously I have taught in South Africa at a school, St Raphael’s School for a period of 13 years. I have experience teaching Kindergarten, year 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I also taught at a school, Assegai Primary, in South Africa where I taught year 2.

I have a Higher Diploma in Education which is a BEd equivalent.
