Previously, my experiences also include setting-up the basis for websites, conceive and manage photo shoots for product catalogues, manage major National Sponsorships, do presentations at the highest levels of corporate decision makers, design and fit out major trade events such as Markex, Huntex and Nampo, manage many printed media adverts, been involved with radio advertising of products, been interviewed on radio, and been part of high profile sports events as apparel sponsor or preferred supplier for the SA Rugby Union’s Community Cup, Cape Town Tens Rugby, SARLA’s Rugby Development programs, Cell C Shark Cage Retail Products, Full Border Rugby Sponsorship Management, etc,..
In my younger days, I managed multi-faceted Hardware Retail Stores, so I have seen both sides of business, from manufacturing products to selling it to the end-users, and everything in between, including building and re-branding two major Hardware Centres from scratch. I have also managed a small factory producing a world-wide patented automotive system, exporting it to the USA, Germany and Pacific East regions. I won the SABS National award for marketing this product and travelled extensively as part of the S.A Department of Trade and Industry’s efforts to promote and sell South African products.
My outward drives in marketing and sales have taken me as far afield as the USA, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Greece, and some African Countries. Travelling outside of our borders and doing export business has really broaden my vision of commerce, and I have applied what I have learned, within budget constraints, to always ensure that value for effort is attained.
