Todd Simon

I am an admitted attorney with High Court Right of Appearance practicing in Makhanda/Grahamstown at the seat of the High Court. I am heavily involved in civil litigation and on occasion appear and move my own matters in the High Court. I am in the process of completing a course in insolvency practice presented online by the University of Pretoria. My role at the firm is largely to assist with drafting pleadings, contracts, attending court and arbitrations in the CCMA as well as consultations with clients. 

I am 29 years old and I'm looking for opportunities in a corporate environment. 

I completed 2 years of articles of clerkship and was admitted as an attorney on the 8th of August 2023. 

I completed the advanced trial advocacy course and have obtained my High Court Right of Appearance.

My position at the firm is largely litigious, I assist in drafting pleadings, affidavits and attend Court to move various applications such as Applications for Default Judgement, applications to compel and processes such as case flow management and roll call to determine a maters trail readiness. I also attend to various arbitrations and labour matters in the Labour Court. 

I am involved in drafting contracts which range from lease agreements to cessions to data protection agreements. 

I generally consult with clients without the assistance of counsel or senior staff and advise clients on their options.

I have a litter over 1 year post admission experience and I am enrolled in an insolvency practice course presented by the University of Pretoria. 

I have completed:

 BA(Law) LLB, the advanced trial advocacy course and am in the process of completing an insolvency practice course.
