Thomas Hendry

I am a manager with over 20 years experience in sports, events, and hospitality. I have found a link on a website which suggests you are looking to expand your team in South Africa. I am currently the team manager for the second oldest rugby club in the country, Villager Rugby club(current Super A league Champions), and I am the Founder and President  of the most successful social sports club in the country. To be part of a successful team on and off the field of play is extremely rewarding. I believe I have the skills and knowledge to add value to your team in South Africa. 

I was born in England, schooled in South Africa and then moved back to the UK to play rugby for the Wasps academy. I spent a lot of my time in hospitality in the UK working for one of the biggest brands at the time, All Bar One. 

My love for sports, and people  is what drives me. I love to be part of a winning team where everyone executes their roles in order to achieve the common goal.

I am a hands-on manager with 20 years of experience in the events,
marketing, food and beverage trade with all levels of experience. I am
self-driven and driven by success, which shows in my track record as a
General and Regional operations manager with arguably the most
successful brand in the UK, All Bar One. I have extensive product
knowledge and 15 years of experience in new openings and new project
management. In my time in South Africa I have been involved in the
start-up of several successful businesses in the hospitality and retails
sector. I am sure my experience will serve me well as I look for a new
challenge. I am currently the 1st team rugby manager at Villagers Rugby
Club, the 2nd oldest club in the country, and the founder and president
of arguably the most famous social club in South Africa, The West Coast
Crew which has grown from 1 rugby team to 2 rugby sides, a dodge ball
team, netball, soccer and hockey teams. With my operation skills and
business management skills, I hope to prove to be a key part of an
organisation looking to evolve with the changing environment we live in.
