I am a dedicated Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) professional with 19 years of experience, including 7 years in management. My expertise extends beyond compliance and risk management—I have a deep understanding of the psychological factors contributing to workplace injuries, which are often the most overlooked yet significant causes of incidents. Recognizing this, I am currently studying counseling, allowing me to integrate mental well-being into safety strategies. I am passionate about fostering a holistic safety culture that prioritizes both physical and psychological well-being to enhance employee resilience and reduce workplace risks.

I am a highly experienced Health and Safety Consultant with 18 years in the field, having worked across various industries, including health and safety management in both medical research and the petrochemical sector. I have held significant roles such as the National Health and Safety Facility Manager at SAMRC and Contractor Health, Environmental, and Safety Management Specialist at Astron Energy.

I specialize in developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety management systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and conducting risk assessments and audits. My experience includes managing employee wellness, creating emergency response plans, and mentoring staff. I’m also skilled in leadership, training, and strategic safety initiatives, with a proven track record of improving safety standards, reducing incidents, and enhancing employee engagement.

I hold a B.Tech and Diploma in Safety Management and am a registered graduate member of the South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

I hold a B.Tech in Safety Management and a Diploma in Safety Management, which provide a strong foundation in health and safety principles. Additionally, I have completed a Management Development Program, which enhanced my leadership and management skills. I am also a registered graduate member of the South African Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (SAIOSH). Currently, I am pursuing a Diploma in Counselling and Communication with the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP), further broadening my expertise in guiding and supporting individuals. This combination of education equips me to manage safety protocols while effectively communicating and offering support in various professional settings.
