Tebogo Promise Magopane

I am a 38 years female currently employed by a cleaning company. I have 7 years of experience in a Hygiene and cleaning field. I started working as a cleaner then was later promoted to be a site supervisor after i have completed my Hygiene and cleaning qualification with SASSETA. 

Being a Hygiene specialist has taught me a lot about and how to perform cleaning in commercial, industrial and Hospitality departments. I have learned about the importance of Health and Safety in a working environment, how to apply chemicals( acidic, alkaline or general purpose) and the care of surfaces e.g wooden, vinyl, ceramic carpet etc.  without causing any damage.  in my working experience i have also gain experience of cleaning procedure and how to apply cleaning principles. 

I studied basic principles of cleaning then later studied Hygiene and cleaning. Through this studies was awarded a Hygiene and cleaning certificate by SASSETA. Hygiene is important to all of us as we deal with combating the contamination of germs in our workplaces, and most of all Hygiene and cleaning has taught me how to care for our surrounding, to keep our environment safe and  the importance of personal hygiene. In a cleaning field we are always alert, know the importance of whistle blowing, and that cleaning is an ongoing thing hence we always say that we clean as we go.
