I am a candidate Civil Engineer Technologist from the Nelson Mandela University with about 2 years experience in Project Administration and Building Construction. 

I currently work as an Infrastructure intern at the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) where I mainly focus on the administration of infrastructure projects from Initiation phase to close out. Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of Infrastructure, I have gained a lot of experience in managing construction projects using PMBOK principles i.e. Project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation in-line with Project Management methodology, Project Cost Management, Contract Management, Project Resource Management, Information Management, Stakeholder Management, Project Scheduling and Time Management.

Experience

I currently work as an Infrastructure Intern (Project Administration) at SANBI under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Infrastructure (Southern region) at SANBI. My day-to-day task include the facilitation of infrastructure projects through the application of PMBOK principles i.e. Project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation in-line with Project Management methodology, Project Cost Management, Contract Management, Project Resource Management, Information Management, Stakeholder Management, Project Scheduling and Time Management. 

 

Education

I completed my degree in Civil Engineering ( BEng Tech) at the Nelson Mandela university in   2021. This journey equipped me with the opportunity to acquire critical engineering skills including the analysis, design and implementation of civil engineering infrastructure (Structural, Water, Road etc.) as well as Project and cost Management skills. 

I am currently pursuing an Honors in Structural Engineering (BEng Tech Hons) through UNISA.
