Tanaka Mutangadura

I am an individual with a passion for the sciences. I am currently pursuing a professional undergraduate degree (undergraduate degree ending in honors) in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. During the 2022 midyear exams I placed in top 10 in my class. I previously obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Pretoria after matriculating from Bryanston High school with 6 distinctions where I placed in the top 10. My qualifications have afforded me tactile skills such as laboratory work, engineering design, etc. In addition, I have also acquired soft skills such as problem-solving skills, critical and creative thinking skills, professional communication skills, the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams as well as the ability to work well with people from different cultural backgrounds. My life experience has also contributed to me being a flexible individual who is open to change and exhibits resilience when challenged. 

I was a second year Computing Skills and Software development tutor in the school of Mechanical, Industrial and Aeronautical engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand. I was responsible for answering questions and offering guidance as well as marking scripts weekly. 

BEng Industrial Engineering 

I am currently in my fourth and final year of study at the University of the Witwatersrand where I placed in the top 15 at the end of my 3rd year in 2021 and top 10 midyear of 2022. I am currently working on my honors dissertation to be completed end of this year which discusses the skills gap in 4th industrial revolution in South Africa and the possible training methods that can be used to upskill the workers in the manufacturing industry.
