Sohana Maharaj

With my robust experience and education in applying teaching and assessment methodologies, designing teaching and learning objectives, designing learning material, documenting all lessons, mentoring troubled learners, and offering support classes, I am prepared to be a team player in your institution. I am passionate about being involved in the school community and engaging in programs that provide students with opportunities to learn, understand, self-reflect, and improve on the standard curriculum. 

My professional knowledge, skills, and personal qualities make me an ideal candidate for this job. My communication skills and professional approach to teaching have added to my successful teaching experience thus far. 

I am presently teaching a grade 7 English Home Language teacher. I am relied upon to teach and assess 140 + learners. I possess the ability to communicate complex information in a way that learners can comprehend easily. I am familiar with planning, administrating, assessing, and supporting learners in English.  I have had a 100% pass rate in English in the last 22 years.

I also have the opportunity of mentoring our teaching assistants and conducting appraisals (QMS) for them.

I have just completed the Seta-approved Assessor’s course through Edutel.
