Currently a Finance Exec at Hesto Harnesses Pty Ltd – a subsidiary of the Metair Group of companies-listed on the JSE. +-10 billion turnover with 11700 employees. I apply for this vacancy on the basis that I have over 17 years of experience in the Finance sector via various industries ie automotive, steel and PVC manufacture. My career spands from articles to Head of Finance for an umbrella of companies in the manufacturing sector in Durban to CFO at the Beier Group in Pinetown and now Finance exec at Hesto Harnesses (Metair). My education, skill, competency and key expertise serve to prove that I would be more than able to effectively and efficiently manage the available position and the accompanying duties and responsibilities. Currently completing my Master’s degree in Commerce and having trained for articles under SAIPA, I have been provided with the practical knowledge and insight that is relevant and key to being successful in my chosen profession. My experience in industry and in practice provides me with the relevant exposure that might prove useful to your firm. I possess a Bachelor of Commerce: Majors in Taxation and Estate Planning, Auditing as well as Human Resource Management and Marketing from the University of Kwa- Zulu Natal. I have also completed my Honours: Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management at the University of South Africa. I have membership under various professional bodies including CIMA, SAIPA and am a qualified tax practitioner. I am also sworn in as Commissioner of Oaths. I am currently in the process of acquiring membership under the SA Board for People Practice (SABPP) and The Southern African Marketing Research Association (SAMRA). Currently sit on the board of trustees for the company’s provident fund. I have extensive knowledge and experience with government grants and have dealt with the IDC for the past 10 years regarding the Production incentive and MIP Grants I have obtained over 180 million in grants thus far including 70M for the company I am currently employed. I have been instrumental in the project management of various brownfield and greenfield investments. I have created an NPO (section 21) at my previous employment and am in the process of creating an NGO based in Durban as my focus is on community upliftment. I have also been instrumental in implementing an ERP system at Beier Group- Accumatica All of this supplements my ability to manage and supervise cross functional teams of finance and operations employees and interns. When not involved with business activities, I enjoy travelling and meeting inspiring personalities such as The Dalai Lama. I am looking for a socially responsible network where my skill, experience and expertise can be utilized and maximized.
