Siphelele Gumede

I am Siphelele Gumede, Compliance Auditor at South African Revenue Service focusing on Customs Compliance. I have worked as an Internal Auditor at Ngubane & Co. I have Btech in Internal Auditing. I have good knowledge and experience of Internal Audit in public and private sector. I have conducted different types of audits and in different clients which are compliance audit, operational audit, financial audit, assisted forensic unit with forensic investigations etc. I have gained a lot of audit experience as I am conducting and leading audit engagements with minimal supervision reporting to Senior Manager: Internal Audit.

At Ngubane & Co. I have learned to be able to understand every organisations processes and be able to conduct audit as per the audit process. I am able to work independently and also able to work with a team.

I have worked as Supply Chain Management Intern at Dube TradePort, where I obtain experience and knowledge of public sector operations. In February 2019 I joined Ngubane & Co. to work as an Internal Auditor. I have conducted different audit for different clients in terms of the standards audit. I now hold a position of Compliance Auditor at SARS which mainly focuses on Customs. I have gain experience and knowledge in terms of conducting compliance audits and ensure we achieve organizational objective.

I have the knowledge of B-BBEE, PPPFA, PFMA, MFMA, Treasury regulations, IIA standard and code of ethics, IPPF, Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Internet, and Outlook), TeamMate system, and SAP.
