About Silence Balele:
I am an engaging facilitator with excellent oral and written communication skills. I have a knack for accommodating and motivating groups and individuals to share their ideas and provide valuable feedback. I always go the extra mile to assist groups and individuals in discovering their potential and enhancing their performance.
Experience
• Teaching basic I.C.T. skills to B.Ed. Groups, clusters and TVET College Lecturers; workshopping them using I.C.T. for teaching and learning material development, assessment and enhancing mathematical understanding. • Setting exams and assessments in Mathematics (Senior Phase and F.E.T.), Sociology, Teaching Tools, and Technology modules, including the written evaluation thereof, I design assessments that accurately measure students' understanding of mathematical concepts and their ability to apply them in real-world situations. • Conducting classroom support visits is another integral part of my teacher professional development program coordinator role. These visits allow me to observe educators in their classrooms, provide feedback on their teaching practices, and offer guidance on addressing specific challenges. By being present in the field, I can gain a deeper understanding of each educator's unique needs and circumstances and tailor my support accordingly. • Creating lesson plans, delivering lectures, and facilitating discussions that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • One of my key responsibilities as a facilitator of the Collegial Clusters is writing reports. These reports serve as a means of documenting the progress and impact of the program and identifying areas for improvement. I am skilled in gathering and analyzing data, synthesizing information, and presenting findings clearly and concisely. • Working with teachers in rural communities, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to enhance their mathematics teaching practices. Through workshops, training sessions, and one-on-one mentoring, I have helped these teachers improve their instructional techniques and create a positive learning environment for their learners.
