Bieng a naturally 3-Dimensional person I have always been drawn towards the kind of challenges that are best solved with that approach specifically. I managed overtime to build excellent problem-solving abilities within a highly pressurised, deadline driven enviroment. After finding good fortune within Architecture, I re-shifted my focus towards a childhood passion of mine. Big mechanical equipment. Finetuning processes using intuitive analytics coupled with logic and attention to detail. I literally see applying that on highly complex systems within systems as an artform just like architecture. Everyday I feel at home

I started my professional career back when I was still in university studying Architecture. During semester breaks I would assist at a local Architecture firm by commercial draughting construction drawings. Slowly I grew within the field and was Hired on a permanent basis immediately after graduating. I moved immediately to more design work within the firm. As you design with highly complex modelling software, you eventually reach towards the mechanical side of things. I had an idea. I resigned and enrolled at a local college. Soon after completing my N1 i received a short trimester bursary from a mining company. I then actively requested a or vac-work as part of their skills development ranks. They agreed and allocated me to a quarry as a mechanical assistant. for 5 weeks on a recurring process i come in and engage in all the duties as listed above. Everyday is a new challenge. I have also participated and most notably won the IPHE national student competition. These competitions have enabled me to travel to various cities including Pretoria, Cape Town and many more as a delegate and sometimes student. Now I look to next step towards qualifying a an Earthmoving/diesel mechanic by joining the team!
