Shannon Jansen

My name is Shannon Jansen, and I’m delighted to introduce myself as a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic young woman. I am currently awaiting on my academic results & SANC certificate, I studied to become an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary, which has deepened my passion for helping others, especially in caring for children and supporting families. Throughout my studies, I have developed strong skills in communication, patience, empathy, and attention to detail—all of which I believe are essential qualities. I enjoy spending time with children, helping them learn, play, and grow in a positive environment. My nursing background also gives me confidence in handling basic health and safety needs responsibly. I would describe myself as kind, respectful, and reliable. I enjoy learning about new cultures and traditions and am very open to becoming part of your family’s daily life. In my free time, I like reading, cooking, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with loved ones. I obtained strong hands-on skills in patient care, including hygiene support, feeding, mobilization, vital signs monitoring, pain assessment, and urine testing. I assisted with pressure care, simple wound dressing, catheter care, oxygen therapy, aseptic techniques, and IV-related tasks under RN supervision. My experience also includes admitting and discharging patients, supporting mothers and infants with bathing and feeding, performing basic life support for adults and children, and maintaining accurate communication and documentation. Throughout my training, I provided compassionate, safe, and patient-centred care while working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
