I am a seasoned professional with over 27 years of managerial experience in the public and private sector. Over 8 years of managerial experience in the Service and Security sector. Over 10 years of experience managing personnel in unionized and non-unionized environment. Also provide guidance, technical. operational and policy development support to the Facilities and Property Management Directorate.
Experience
I have served in the public and private sector and have been involved in the Learning Environment since the early days of the SETAs formation and the Skills Development Act formulation and implementation. As a Provincial Manager of Isett Seta now named (MICTSETA) my duties covered all operational aspects of SAQA Training, unit standard quality assurance, assessment tools formulation. The training of assessors and moderators. The project management of all learnership and skills programme from inception to certification. I oversaw learner support, the graduation of learners and management of over 120 learners living with various disabilities. Managed stakeholder engagements to secure learner employment opportunities.
Also as a senior project Manager in the Department of Public Works in the Facilities Directorate; my duty was the development of the departments property incubator strategy and policy including PIP (Property Incubator Programme) formulation and planning. Engaged all Senior Managers from various provincial departments and monitored all provincial departments compliance to the GIAMA Act no. 17 of 2007.
Supervise the quality assurance and data accuracy of PREMIS, the KZN provincial departments immovable assets management system with more than 13500 assets. The development of the departments of social development building asset management plans, maintenance plans. The development of the department of education, department of sports and recreation assets register. Risk management, monitoring and data evaluation. Provided technical assistance and support to the General Manager property management directorate in carrying out measures that ensured efficient implementation of the Giama Act no19 of 2007.
