Sarafina Zodwa

My name is Sarafina Zodwa Shebi and I hold a National Diploma in Environmental Sciences which I acquired in 2020 at Tshwane University of Technology. I have almost 3 years experience in the Environmental Field. 

I am currently employed as an Environmental Officer / Health and Safety Assistant at a company called BrightSource Energy SA. We are involved in a Redstone CSP project located in  Postmasburg, Northern Cape. 

I am a young passionate and goal driven individual, willing to gain more experience and also share the amount I have gained thus far. I hold a valid licence and have own transportation. 

I have been in the environmental industry for almost 3 years. I was currently employed an a Junior Environmental Consultant at Nkhophele Holdings, based in Centurion, Pretoria. My main focus was Environmental Impact Assessments for upcoming projects. The company managed  to acquire more than 3 Environmental Authorisations with my assistance to the Senior EAP. 

I am currently employed as an Environmental Officer at BrightSource Energy SA and we are involved in a CSP Project. My duty is to ensure compliance to the approved Departmental documentation such as the Environmental Authorisation and Environmental Management Programme (EMPr) of the site. I conduct daily inspections, bi-weekly environmental audits and submit Environmental monthly reports to the client. 

I am also involved in conducting awareness and water monitoring to employees of the company. 

I have a National Diploma in Environmental Sciences, acquired in the year 2020 from Tshwane University of Technology. 

I have taken short courses in Legal Liability, Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Level 1 First Aid to expand my knowledge.
