About Sagren Naidoo:
My experience spans 30 years and I have worked in various industries including 10 years in local government. I have been responsible for and managed many spend categories of goods and services and have achieved value through best practice procurement strategies and processes. I am a procurement leader that is able to inspire and motivate my team to achieve results that support organisational strategy.
My qualifications (MCIPS Professional Diploma NQF8 & National Diploma: Logistics NQF6) together with my procurement experience that spans 30 years with exposure to various industries that allowed me to develop vast technical knowledge and effective procurement processes to ensure procurement objectives are achieved. I always maintain a professional approach to my work continuously looking to improve my performance and to achieve efficient and effective value for money procurement.
Procurement Management is my passion and I have an excellent understanding of business processes in the various functions / departments that I use to effectively collaborate cross-functionally to ensure value for money procurement. People skills and being a team player are natural to my character, I know how to inspire, motivate, mentor and develop people to achieve greater performance and ensure procurement and organisational objectives, and goals are achieved. Having excellent financial acumen I know how to use this skill to ensure effective financial controls and value for money outcomes in procurement. Project management is an essential tool for ensuring effective and efficient procurement operations and is what I use to identify risks, measure and monitor progress in achieving objectives and goals.
I have led supplier negotiations for strategic contracts of high value ensuring value for money through market research, product information and bench-marking with key industry players. Supplier negotiations I have handled range from highly technical to routine commodities e.g. optical lenses and office furniture and specialised professional services.
Having been responsible for various types of categories I have developed expert knowledge in strategic sourcing and category planning.
A logical and analytical thinker who likes to get things done in a systematic, timely and efficient manner.
