Ruan de Wet

I am an enthusiastic, lively, charismatic, social, exciting person with big goals and aspirations. I am an extremely hard-working, disciplined individual who is very much a people’s person. I connect well with people and have always built great rapports. My friends and family describe me as an exceptionally warm-hearted, loving person who is extremely friendly and works well with people. Furthermore, I am a very positive, outgoing individual who lives life to the fullest and always carries a big smile. I have a great passion for teaching as it allows me to connect with students on a different level and I get to watch their growth which brings me great amounts of joy. 

In Bangkok, I taught at a private language institute known as I-Genius. This is a summary of my role:

• Taught English grammar, conversation, and phonetics, as well as reading, writing and listening skills.
• Collected and analyzed student work samples and related data to monitor progress and identify skill gaps.
• Communicated with parents to report on student progress, potential challenges, victories, and ways to foster engagement and academic success.
• Consulted and collaborated with facility and educational specialists to discuss program improvements as well as gathered relevant material for each weeks new them and equipped each classroom with the relevant materials.

I graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. During my time there I was involved in various tutoring programs teaching Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Statistics.
