My experience of 21 years in the Materials and Logistics management field, in the Construction industry expands over the petrochemical, power & energy generation and mining sectors which includes both projects and maintenance. I have covered all aspects of logistics & materials management operations, which includes, but not limited to, receiving, co-ordinating deliveries & unloading, designated & sequential storage, security, expediting, site procurement, including consumables and PPE, issuing, inventory control, preservation, reverse logistics coordination with the relevant stakeholders & management of documentation to ensure an efficient paper trail.

I have used various in-house material management packages where available; and, when not, I have devised my own systems to facilitate the job requirements and to effectively support the execution of project, production and maintenance schedules.

I am a competent, hardworking and a disciplined individual who works with the least amount of supervision and produces work of the highest quality. I have excellent industrial relations skills and am a great team player with a demonstrated history of managing large teams.

• Receiving of equipment, structural steel, mechanical,  piping and fittings.
•  Addressing of priority listings and non-available material
•  Compiling of daily receiving register and reports e.g., Damages to material, crates and boxes.
•  Conducting of “Open Box Inspections” with all offshore deliveries.
• Controlling all site logistics including cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, tractors, and trailers.
• Ensures that the client is kept up to date about delivery schedules & potential delays.
• Ensuring that documentation is completed & valid.
• Handled all abnormal deliveries.
•  Investigating of OSD’s, compiling Event notifications, submitting claims and ensuring cost recovery
•  Issuing of material as requested by construction – erection and fabrication.
• Plans/Schedules the transport of goods & materials as per construction requests.
•  Processing of material requests and reviewing of all BOM issues made to contractors.
• Recording of equipment and materials preservation inspections.
• Storage of hazardous materials as per Material Safety Data Sheets.           
• Handled all varied & complex factors such as organizational movements & management of warehouse and materials storage yards and containers.
• Scheduling shifts, allocation of resources & ensuring that all staff members are adequately trained. Managing time and attendance and ensuring compliance to the disciplinary code of conduct.
