BUSINESS UNIT CONTROLLER

Huhtamaki (Pty) Ltd - Global food packaging specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating the full month end procedure, ensure deadlines are met and information reported in accordance with GAAP.
• Preparation of the monthly board presentation and packs. 
• Analyse and report on balance sheet adjustments, impact on monthly forecasts, benchmarking implications.
• Continuous improvement for best practices for month-end procedure, closing and reporting, quality of reports.
• Ensure that all accounting allocations are appropriately made and documented, keeping a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Establishing controls to check, analyse and improve expenditure control.
• Manage group cash flow, working capital and funding requirements.
• Oversee Trade Receivables, Payables and Bank Reconciliations
• Oversee Payroll function.
• Preparation and compilation of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, monthly revised forecasts.
• Lead year-end audit, prepare annual audited financial statements, year-end pack, and handling of audit queries.
• Responsible for all tax returns (PAYE, UIF, VAT, etc) 
• Control Fixed Asset Register.
• Lead, guide and motivate financial team.
