About Remofiloe Pooe:

My name is Ms. Remofiloe Pooe,  I currently work for the Agricultural Research Council-Central Office as a Senior Secretary in the Infrastructure division since 2017, with an cumulative 12 years of experience.  

I started my career at The South African Pharmacy Council as an Intern in November 2010 and continued with the internship at ARC-SCW in the Public Relations Department until August 2012.  My role was to organize exhibitions, liaison with media, compile and distribute information packs for visitors and clients, manage human and financial resources, compile and arrange financial files, manage petty cash, arrange and communicate internal and external events for quarterly monthly, quarterly, and yearly events, draft and editing public relation reports, and newsletters.  I assisted to facilitate media interviews, market the ARC campus activities, technical expertise and information.  I assisted in designing posters, flyers, and manage internal and external stakeholders.

In 2012 I was appointed on contract as a Research Assistant and Secretary to the Soil Science Programme Manager and got permanently appointed in May 2014. 

I have Honours degree in Psychology Counseling with UNISA, and Marketing Management Diploma with Tshwane North College. Currently I am in the process of completing a Programme in Basic, Intermediate & Advanced Project Management with UNISA. I have proficiency in MS Office Applications, excellent communication skill, interpersonal skills, excellent customer and stakeholder relations, able to work under pressure, with a high degree of emotional intelligence.  I can analyze and synthesize data and treat all information with highest level of confidentiality. 

The level of training, tertiary education and practical skills that I have acquired equips me and sets me apart from all other candidates.  I am currently looking for a suitable position that recognizes initiative and aims to empower its employees with the opportunities for continued professional and personal growth.
