About Regean Singh:
I have fifteen year experience in Mechanical/Production Engineering, with vast exposure in the working environment to Mechanical and Industrial Systems Thinking
During these challenging learning achievements, I have proven competency in TPS (Toyota Production Systems) and WCM (World Class Manufacturing). Included in my experience is management of projects and Engineering Change Proposals. I am a valued team orientated engineer. My worth is measured in Value Added Engineering Practices in Quality and Process Engineering Control, namely Built-In Quality.
I enjoy and embrace the challenges of any Production Engineering Environment.
Through my Positive attitude, I remain grounded to apply Good Engineering Principles and constantly measure my achievements using SMART Thinking. This Process Approach aligns Key Performance Areas to my department with the aim to strengthen and sustain set Organizational Objectives.
A concise overview of this is that I am a pioneering pragmatic, innovative self-starter who displays above average analytical, conceptual and reasoning skills. These facets coupled with multi dimensional leadership skills, interpersonal skills and assertive problem solving, helps to fuel my motivation and determination to succeed through varied circumstances.
Experience
As Principal Engineer:
. Kaizen activities, Continuous Improvement using The Toyota Way and
Business Practices.
. Analytical Problem Solving using Toyota Production Systems (TPS).
. Contribute towards achieving the production line Operational Performance
Ratio (O.P.R.) target.
. Conduct time studies to establish operating standards.
. Stabilization of increased volume production through labour/line balancing.
. Facilitate, lead and control projects, including cost reduction.
. Man hours per unit (M.H.U.) improvement.
. Read and interpret engineering part drawings.
. Application of engineering principals for process optimization.
. Manage and resolve production engineering related problems.
. Implement quality built in activities-Interpret quality network risk rating.
. Implement safety in line with company objectives and ergonomics risks to
prevent occupational disease.
. Introduce new models, Facelifts, Special editions, Local developement –
Engineering change instructions.
. Conducting feasibility studies & replying to FSR’s (Feasibility Study requests)
including investment studies for Implementation
. Introduction of Special Jigs, Tooling & My covers to ensure Ease of Assembly,
. Reduction of Damage / Scrapping of parts, thereby ensuring Good Quality &
reduction of Cost due to damaged parts
As Section leader:
. Engineering leader for the Final Assembly Lines at Hilux Assembly Plant
(managing three Engineers and six Master trainers)
. Introduced 640A model to Assembly Plant (Final Area)
. Developed and managed Departmental Operation Plan, for Final Area, to ensure
targets are met for a successful introduction of Model
. Presented weekly reports to Management on Operational Plan status update,
struggle points & key next actions
. Lead Final Area for Goshi, MPT & SOP builds
. Internal logistics (Jundates) – manages, arrange, plans delivery of parts.
As Project Leader:
. Facilitate and plan new projects, including training and monitoring progress.
Project leader for – IMV, C-SUV, Skd/Ckd, San parks, Black edition (PPO)
Other: International experience
. Represented Toyota S.A Motors at the Thailand plant, for prototype build
for face lift.
Activities: raised design and quality investigation reports to designers, for
improvement of design in problematic areas.
. Represented Toyota S.A Motors at the Japan plant, for new model.
Activities: digital assembly study, evaluate all parts details, solve current model
problems, change structure based on cost, propose design changes.
. Set up Production lines in Kenya for SKD.
