I am an ethnomusicologist, researcher, musician, writer and teacher, originally from East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa. I am passionate about the preservation of indigenous knowledge systems, music, instruments and using musical sound to help alleviate the anxiety and stress disorders experienced by youths (and the greater community). I studied music and the dramatic arts and obtained my BA Degree in Ethnomusicology and Jazz vocals at Rhodes University & completed my BA Honours in Music at the University of Fort Hare.
