Theodorah Mahlangu

I am Theodorah a young innovative fashion addict who is very passionate about fashion buying specifically and business in retail at large.

I am a very driven individual . I am a self-motivated individual who takes each and every opportunity that presents itself to her. I have good communication skills, styling skills, garment constriction experience , pattern making and customer service skills.

I completed my Diploma in Fashion Design and Technology with Tshwane University Technology. My greatest achievement was  when I was selected to be part of the reality show called Kultcha Kwest to showcase my talent as a young designer infused with cultural elements with modern elements.

I am currently Visual Commercial for a prominent brand. My role main as a Visual Commercial is to drive sales to ensure a high turnover.The aim is to achieve this goal through making sure the store is visually appealing to our customers, styling and displaying latest trends to ensure the customer understands the stock,also monitor stock levels to ensure highest ranking items are always available,control stock e.g. removing or promoting dead stock. Analysing sales on a daily basis to reactively work on improving struggling areas, ensure the sales team understand how to sell and present the product to customers to maximise on sales.

I have been in the retail industry for 9years starting out as an intern with Truworths in their Display department as a Fashion Design Graduate for a year then prom to a full time Window Dresser and Stylist after 4 years with the company. I then elevated to work for one of the worlds leading retailers as a Visual Merchandiser Commercial  where I have been working for the past 5 years.
