Portia Makhubela

I am a MSc Analytical chemistry graduate based in Gauteng and willing to relocate. I have the ability to unite people to achieve a shared goal and used this to improve inter-departmental relations. My top three operating principles are respect, accountability and integrity. I am passionate about learning and helping people. I am resilient, curious and have a neck for coming up with creative solutions. I have presented my work at a local and international conferences. My poster was awarded 2nd place for a student chromatography related poster by CHROMSA at the Analitika conference.

I served as a Marketing and service engineer trainee at Torrecid for 8 months, my duties included project management, quality control and troubleshooting. I was a Chemistry tutor for various Chemistry modules during my studies at the University of Pretoria and my duties were to explain chemical concepts as well as to demonstrate good laboratory practices.

I completed my Masters in Analytical chemistry with distinction at the University of Pretoria.

I have a BSc  Honours in Chemistry from the University of Pretoria and a BSc in Biochemistry and Chemistry from UNISA.
