About Pia Lund:
Afternoon.
I would like the opportunity to meet with youth discuss the possibility of joining your team.
My career began as a Head of VM at the Scottish Knitwear Brand 15 years ago. From that position I grew my role into Head of store development across all our brands, including, Palladium footwear, Ben Sherman, Pringle and Simon Carter to name a few. The most recent was a contractual work for NIKE [2025].Across both roles I have been responsible for training of staff, buying for our local stores and overseeing all visual elements within the stores.
Since Scottish Knitwear closed its doors, I have been busy with selling vintage clothing, one of my passions and hobbies, via the Internet.I have also taken on freelance work from some of our wholesale clients
Fashion is my love. and I would love to join the team.
My CV is testament to me being a fast learner with a good eye and a ‘can do’ attitude; my time at my previous employer speaks to my loyalty. I trust that my references will speak to the truth of both these statements.
Experience
For the past 15 years, I have led both the Visual Merchandising and Store Development departments for multiple international fashion and lifestyle brands. My role ensured that every store was fully aligned with the brand’s global image, marketing direction, and customer experience standards.
On the visual side, I managed everything from window displays, floor layouts, and mannequin styling to fragrance presentation and staff appearance. I provided training to in-store teams, ensuring they understood and embodied brand standards at every customer touchpoint. Every visual detail, large or small, ultimately came across my desk, and I took pride in delivering consistency and excellence across all stores.
On the store development side, I was responsible for hiring and managing contractors, overseeing renovations, new store openings, and fit-outs. I ensured projects were delivered on time, on budget, and to brand specifications. In 15 years, I have never missed a store-opening deadline and consistently met all targets.
This dual responsibility has given me a deep understanding of how visual presentation and store environments work hand-in-hand to drive customer engagement, brand loyalty, and sales performance.
Education
After completing my Fashion Design studies, I went on to study Fine Art, believing the two disciplines would complement each other. My focus was on oil painting and charcoal drawing, which pushed me creatively and taught me to explore new ways of expressing ideas. This artistic training has been an invaluable balance to my fashion background, as creativity is essential in visual merchandising — helping me design engaging, inspiring store environments that create a joyful experience for customers.
