Phumlisa Ntshanga

 I am a Somatology graduate from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology with eight years of experience in the beauty and wellness industry. I am very passionate about my career and I always want to further my skills. I have been privileged to work for one of the best 5-star hotel spas in Cape Town, this gave me a great experience to be exposed to international guests, I had to learn how to accommodate and work with other nationalities. I have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, a good team player and can follow instructions very quickly on a time based level as being punctual and very organized. I always provide a warm welcome to clients ensuring each client gets the same experience. I can do all spa treatments with excellence and massage being my favorite treatment to do. I am able to do receptionist work. I love sales and reaching beyond my targets gives me the greatest fulfilment.    

I had different responsibilities throughout my 8years of worked experience this includes opening the Spa in the mornings making sure that everything is according to the standards of the company before operations resumes and closing the spa. Including cleanliness of the facilities, waiting areas and treatment rooms ensuring that everything is back as it was when we opened, I would also close the spa reception are doing cash up making sure orders for the next day are send as well as sending our treatment report to management. 

 I have a have done a lot of spa reception duties meaning I can do everything that a spa receptionist is expected to do. I can also do spa attendant responsibilities such as overseeing cleanliness and presentation of the spa. As a senior therapist I than gained nice experience where I was now assisting in training newly employed therapist to the high standard of the brand.

My responsibilities would include assisting my supervisor in ensuring that the treatment area of the spa is all running in the correct manor and at a high standard. Capturing payroll, ordering correct stock for the spa. Stock take and reception duties. 

As a beauty therapist my role was to perform high standard/quality treatments to every client, to give excellent customer care and recommend the correct home care advise this would include products that they can use at home to insure they get optimal/best results so that they are happy and come back to me/the company again. And to ensure high standards in health and safety for client (very neat and hygienic).
