About Petrus Burger:
Applied SIEing (Scientific Industrial Engineering) aka True Lean DNA Implementation aka CI (Continuous Improvement) leads to the means-driven, content-filled, site-specific, ever-evolving TPS (Toyota Production System):
I am a purist/pioneer in the specialized field within TIEing (Traditional Industrial Engineering), which is SIEing aka CI (Kaizen in Japanese), i.e., the SBM (Scientific Business Model) being implemented which led to the machine that changed the world, i.e., the TPS which brought the entire automotive industry with the ABM (Accounting Business Model) implemented (TIEing), to its knees. The ABM, which originated over at GMC (General Motor Corporation) during the 1920s.
The SBM came backwards out of Toyota Japan, which led to Fake Lean/CI (very high Lean Implementation failure rate). Fake Lean/CI is copying the wrong things, out of context (of the whole), and being disrespectful of people, while violating systems theory, as well as being unscientific (almost 99.9% of Lean/CI Practitioners today) – boils down to the ABM being implemented/TIEing. Sadly, safe to say, the SBM went dormant again, worldwide – due to Fake Lean/CI.
I've been specializing in Lean/CI (14 years, 7 years R&D and 7 years implementation) soon after I've enrolled for my Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering, back in 2006, as I was laying a solid foundation in Project Management (7 years) which forms a vital component of applied SIEing which is based upon tacit (craft-type) knowledge, understanding of which only occurs via True Lean DNA coaching at the gemba.
My most recent result, last year March, in the 10th month of the 1st iteration of a True Lean DNA Start-Up, when we solved a hardness issue (on a metallurgical process level) the factory/foundry has been struggling with for the last ten years, a R10M Lean cost saving (conservatively speaking).
1 Cor_10:31 (KJV ONLY, 7x purified), "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.", Luk_16:13, “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
Experience
2006 (In PROGRESS)Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering, University of StellenboschCompleted the theoretical modules, busy with my thesis “Mastering Basic Applied Scientific Industrial Engineering, i.e. Basic Lean Management”, hope to complete by the year 2026 (based on 12 iterations of Basic Lean Management – to date I’ve completed 6 iterations of Basic Applied SIEing on 3 different sites)
