About Peter van der Velde:

Databases and ETL is in my DNA. I have been doing this for more than 2 decades and want to do it for 2 decades more.

I am a bloodhound - when chasing up a problem or a solution I do not let go until resolved.

I design and implement products that:

  1. Are configuration-driven
  2. Apply an “API-first” mindset to database development
  3. Are extensible without over-engineering

These architectural decisions show that I am aware that other people will extend and support my products, and I want to make it as easy as possible for them.

Any solutions I deliver also have short-circuit protection - any machine or process can be shutdown at any point in the process and your data will still be consistent.
