I would like to make use of this opportunity to add some information about my duties and responsibilities at my last employment which was at Ram International Operations, one of the departments of Ram Hand to Hand Couriers in Isando Johannesburg.

Ram International is one of  the only two companies responsible for the customs clearance for imports and exports of valuable cargo in the country. E.g. Diamonds, Gold, Gold and Silver Jewelry, Platinum and the machinery used in the mineral industry

My Duties and Responsibilities.

* Print documents from pre-alerts and prepare documents for capturing.

* Collect original documents from foreign airlines

* Pre-alert clients informing them about the arrival of the shipments

* Pre-alert the escort drivers and operations for the collection and delivery of the shipment.

* Capturing of the documents and EDI to Customs

* Systems used to frame entries in the Compi clear (Bidclear) old system and the Diamond system.

*Sending pre-alerts to Guard force and Customs for collection, deliveries of shipment from the airlines.
 

*Arrange inspections with Customs and airlines as well as Guard force and Rand refinery

* Arrange shipment inspection with SA Diamond Regulator .

* Arrange delivery and collection from clients and airline vaults

* Arranging Ex courier ( Hand carry) shipment and inspections with Customs

*I'm also present when shipment is collected from the airline vault to check and record the correct shipment details on each parcel the MAWB, HAWB and seal numbers.

* I'm responsible for going to the airlines and the States warehouse to stamp and release shipments from the vaults.
